The Florentine - Chicago
The Florentine, located in The Loop’s JW Marriott hotel, sources the best of Midwestern produce to create the best of Italian cuisine. Helped by Chef de Cuisine Zachary Walrath, the menu at the Marriott typically includes dishes such as spiedini (grilled wagyu beef skewers), gnocchi with braised oxtails and bistecca, a sixteen-ounce ribeye. This is Italian food with a hearty edge, true to the tradition and also pleasing to the beef-loving Midwestern diner. Complementing the plates is a very large collection of wines, with many Italian vintages represented.
