The Walnut Room - Chicago

In the Iate 1890s, the very first restaurant in a department store was opened. The Walnut Room was born to feed the hungry shoppers who needed to fuel up between power shopping. One employee's famous chicken pot pie helped launched the phenomenon, and it can still be found on the menu today with its original recipe. Over the years, The Walnut Room has become a Christmas tradition as shoppers come for the chicken pot pie and massive Christmas tree centered in the restaurant. They've also added a wine bar and signature cocktails that rotate seasonally.
