The Restaurant

Located in the River North district, GT Fish & Oyster hosts 115 seats in its modern seafood eatery that is candlelit and surrounded by wood paneling hung with shark teeth and decorated with framed oil paintings.

Fish-centric dishes are presented on a menu that prides itself as seasonal along with both traditional and non-traditional flair.

Brunch

Start your mid-day with a Bagel and Cured Gravlax that comes with capers, pickled onion, and herb crème fraiche. Or, if you’re hankering for a Southern style brunch, try Shrimp with Grits and enjoy it on roasted tomato, tasso ham, corn, and scallion.

Chef Tentori also entices early day visitors with a Crab Benedict that is accompanied by Swiss chard and hollandaise on an English muffin. Lobster fans might to treat themselves to a Lobster Roll that comes with a lobster salad, pickled vegetables and fried onions.

Lunch

When it comes to lunch, diners can treat themselves to typical menu items like sandwiches, soups, salads, and hot dishes. All of these common menu items are available in most any restaurant, but at GT Fish & Oyster, they each have a distinctive style all their own.

The Oyster Po’Boy Slider comes with kimchi and peanuts, while the Smoked Whitefish Panini is layered with prosciutto, piquillo peppers, and caramelized shallot aioli that is just perfect for a seafood lover’s lunchtime meal.

Dinner

At dinner, cold dishes and caviar service start the menu off right. Enjoy Shrimp Bruschetta with avocado, toasted pistachio, grapefruit and cilantro or Tuna Poke that dazzled with mango, cucumber, and black sesame.

Chef Tentori also features shared plates at dinner. These are truly unique and must be tried. How about sampling the Braised Baby Octopus with roasted Roma tomato sauce and chili-infused polenta; Foie Gras and Prawn Terrine with Szechuan peppercorns, apricot-shallot chutney; or Brandade Croquettes with orange-fennel salad, grainy mustard aioli. There is also Chorizo Stuffed Squid, Shrimp & Saffron scented Risotto, you might want to sink your teeth into, or the Squid Ink Gnocchi with Maine lobster, haricot verts, scented carrot broth. These are unbelievably delicious and worth experimenting with other adventurous seafood enthusiasts.

Dessert

As good as the entrees are, diners visiting GT Fish & Oyster should make sure they leave room for dessert. Pastry Chef Andrea Bonitatibus promises your sweet tooth will delight in her creations that are delectably innovative.

The Banana Brownie tops the dessert menu. Served with praline mousseline, candied hazelnuts, bruleed bananas, amaranth streusel, and topped with rum ice cream, this is one for the table to share!

Another fantastically unique option to try is the Blueberry Corn Meringue. For those who relish the sweet taste of corn, this is the one to choose. Sweet corn puree with corn ice cream along with blueberry lavender granite and lime tapioca make this a culinary innovation that is sure to please.
